Description:
On 3rd November 2023, Loreto Convent Intermediate College, Lucknow, commemorated the end and drew the curtains on its one-year-long sesquicentenary celebrations through a closing ceremony involving a portentous mass and an enrapturing cultural program. The event was graced by the divine presence of RT. Reverend Dr. Gerald John Mathias, the(current serving) bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lucknow, our Provincial, Sister Sabrina, and the esteemed Principals from various institutions. The Homily, delivered by the bishop, offered guidance, interpretation, and spiritual insight, shaping the congregation's understanding and connection to the word of God. The cultural program after the Mass showcased the talents of the students of the four schools. The artful elocution, the mellifluous songs, and the captivating dances kept the audience transfixed. The humorous depiction of 'Cycle ki Sawari' by the students of Loreto Convent brought about an atmosphere of lightheartedness and merriment. The Provincial Sr Sabrina congratulated the Principals, staff, and students of the four IBVM schools for the successful completion of the year-long celebration and brought the curtain down on the Jubilee Year. The final vote of thanks was delivered by the Superior Sr. Amia.
