” The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree is the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.” On 18th December 2015 The Loreto Family (Loreto Convent Intermediate College, Lucknow) celebrated Christmas. “Christmas is a spirit of giving without a thought of getting.” The event started with a melodious song for beginning the act where a Christmas tree, Gifts, Candy Cane, Star Angels, Socks, Candles etc. were in a conversation about their importance and purpose, and the conclusion of the act was that, God has made everything and everyone in this world for some purpose and have equal importance. The students performed a play and retold the story of “Birth of Lord Jesus Christ”. It would be surely unfair if we celebrate Christmas without a Santa Claus. All the students were super excited to meet Santa Claus and to call Santa everybody sang “You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why,” and soon after that Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas Santa Claus came running to crowd. Santa gave sweets to all the students. The ground was filled with the music of this mesmerizing song “Jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way Oh what fun it is to ride on a one horse open sleigh” and after spreading a lot of happiness Santa went for the next town. After the Christmas Programme a Raffle Draw was organized in which 30 lucky people won prizes. Teachers also celebrated Christmas but in a little different way than the students. A group of teacher sang prayers and after that all the teachers played a game in which everyone got a gift. They all exchanged their gifts and wished each other “MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY & A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2016”.
