Description:
The Children’s Day in Loreto Convent Intermediate College was celebrated on the 12th of November 2016, with fun, frolic and gaiety. The day began with the Principal Sister Anjuman greeting the children on the occasion followed by an assembly made beautiful by the prayers by the teachers and the songs they sang to an audience of colourfully dressed students. This Children’s Day the roles were reversed as the teachers put up a mock P.T. display which held the children in peals of laughter. The council of Office Bearers was given the seats of honour with the head girl, Deepti Srivastava and the sports captain, Swajil Agrahari as the chief guests.
The P.T. display started out with a march past with the Principal leading the teachers dressed in white and blue. The march was interjected with humorous commentary. This was followed by a mass P.T. which enthralled the children. Next the children found themselves in splits to see their prim and proper teachers perform drills and play games, all the while falling, faltering and struggling on the field.
Lastly, the teachers played tug-of-war with the office bearers, winning both times. Dance-o-mania and mine fete were the icing on the wonderful cake.
