The Independence Day celebration began in the school with the hoisting of the flag by the Chief Guest Ma'am A. Pande It was followed by a well-synchronized march past by the four houses.
A cultural programme dedicated to the unsung heroes of our freedom struggle was presented by the members of the Environment Club.
Tableau was presented to show the contribution of Rani Gadin Leu, Sumya Sen, Jhalkari Bai, Doctor Laxmi Sehgal and many others who have been forgotten in the annals of History.
A patriotic Dance mesmerized the audience. The programme concluded with a mellifluous renditiion of the song "Aye Watan...Mere Watan".
