Children’s Day also known as “Bal Divas” in India is celebrated on 14th November on the occasion of India’s first Prime Minister PanditJawaharLal Nehru’s birthday. His birthday is celebrated in India with huge enthusiasm especially by the children. He was called as “Chacha Nehru” by the children as he loved children so much. Because of his love and affection towards the children, Government of India has implemented two programmes named “Children’s Day” and “Bal Swachchta Abhiyan”, it is celebrated every year for the wellness and safety of the children forever in India. On 21st November 2015 Jagriti Loreto School celebrated the Children’s Day. To make it the most beautiful and the most memorable day for the children all the teachers participated in the celebration. The hall was decorated with colorful balloons and colorful paper stripes. Teachers gave an excellent dance performance and mesmerized the children by singing beautiful songs. A skit was also performed by the teachers, it was so humorous that none of them could stop themselves from laughing; the hall was filled with laughter and giggles of the children. Superior Sister Helen encouraged the students and also had a lot of fun with them. The winners of Rangoli competition were awarded with the prizes by the Principal of Loreto Convent Intermediate College, Lucknow Ma’am L. George. Teachers also arranged a mini Dj for the children so that they can dance and enjoy their day at its best. In the end delicious food was served to the children and they enjoyed it a lot.
