Mary Ward Week is celebrated every year in each Loreto school, from the 23rd of January to the 30th of January. Mary Ward, founder of Loreto was born on the 23rd January 1585 and died on the 30th of January 1645.
During this week, the student’s of Loreto Convent Intermediate College, Lucknow, will reflect on Mary Ward’s life as well as learning about Mother Teresa Ball who founded the Irish branch of the Loreto sisters. On 23rd January 2016 the Opening Prayer Service was conducted at the Delphine Hart. A power point presentation on Mary Ward was displayed to retell the story of Mary Ward’s Life to the students. By celebrating the Mary Ward Week every year Loreto Convent Intermediate College has maintained their tradition.
