World Aids Day, designated on December 1 every year since 1988 is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of the HIV infection, and mourning those who have died of the disease. Government and health officials, non-governmental organizations and individuals around the world observe the day, often with education on AIDS prevention and control. On 1st December 2015 a small seminar was organized for the students of Loreto Convent Intermediate College, Lucknow at the Delphine Hart Auditorium. The students prayed for the people suffering from HIV AIDS. They were also educated about the HIV AIDS through a power point presentation. The students were given a message to, “We must encourage people to get educated, to get tested and to get involved in the fight against AIDS” and to, “Take the lead & pledge their support for World AIDS Day, December 1. Stand up and Make a difference.”
